blue skies & apple trees

I hope everyone has had or is enjoying a wonderful weekend? Ours was
another busy one ~ moving our son & his girlfriend into their new home &
celebrating my hubby's birthday yesterday.

After a very, very casual family lunch (we were so tired from the move), we headed
into the backyard for a game of family cricket. We've been lucky to be enjoying some
mild summer weather lately - perfect mid 20° temperatures & beautiful blue skies...

Our apple trees are fruiting... we have pink ladies & a gorgeous old crab-apple.

The crab-apple is laden with fruit. Some years I make crab-apple jelly
but if anyone else has a different recipe I would love to hear from you?

 Till next time...

  1. Kerry,
so much fun! Our orchards are covered in cold with a skiff of snow on the ground. We have many acres of apples. It is so fun to see apples growing in another part of the world while ours are still dormant...if you get a chance to look at my blog, I posted some pictures of what the orchards around our house look like. I hope you enjoy your trees as much as we do ours! I wish I could picnic in the trees about now where you live!
    Hearts to you,
    Betsy
